What's Happening This Weekend in Kentucky (2/22/19-2/24/19)?

   Whew! Hope you all found some fun events to take part in this past weekend! As planned, we traveled north for a college audition and a little bit of fun. Bailey feels like he did his best and that's all he wanted to walk away with...now we wait. By late March, we should have a better feel for what's going to be happening on his college journey. Our older two sons will both be starting classes at a local college in the fall. We couldn't be more proud of them as they take their right next step toward achieving their goals. Chris and I sure are blessed with a wonderful family💓💓

   

   We sure did enjoy the Oberlin and Cleveland area. It was our first time there as a family so it was definitely fun to explore...even in the freezing weather! Again, it is February and we were in far North Ohio---we truly shouldn't expect any differently. Oberlin is a quaint, cultured, vibrant college down smack dab in the middle of amish country and corn fields. We really enjoyed visiting the college and the town. We also ventured into Cleveland for a quick visit. If anyone really knows our family, it is an obvious choice that we visited The Christmas Story House. We also ventured to the waterfront to catch a glimpse of Lake Erie and the Cleveland. Well worth braving the freezing temperatures to take that sight in. We had a great trip! We returned in time for Bailey to participate in the Teen Arts Festival at the Singletary Center, where he performed with the CKYO Syphony Orchestra. It was crazy fun weekend. And, I STILL had time to help a buyer and a seller! I'll call that a win! 

   Looking forward to the coming weekend, there are tons of local and regional events that can make a late February weekend a bit more bearable! Check it out!
